Nancy Jo Cripe nee Naylor. Born November 8, 1936 to Ivyl and Hazel Naylor. At rest May 17, 2015.
She attended Wea Grade School and then moved to the Romney, IN area, where she graduated in the top 10 of her class of 10. Nancy moved to Ohio and lived with her sister. A year later she attended Manchester College for 1 year. She worked for PSI of Indiana for 10 years. When she told her boss she was getting married he said “ok but you have to work until I retire” which she did. She and Ron were married February 9, 1963. In 1972 employment took them to live in Palos Hills, IL, then La Grange Park, Mt. Prospect and finally in 1979 to Elk Grove Village. In the late 1980’s Nancy began having trouble walking. 1990 was spent searching for the problem which was finally diagnosed in late 1990 as Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Then we started the journey of coping with the challenges of MS. First came walking with 1 cane, then 2, graduating to a walker and finally to a wheelchair. The last leg of our journey started when we left the hospital and went to Manorcare. Then back to the ER and CCU. On Wednesday afternoon, May 13th we took the big step and entered hospice. This is only part of the story. Nancy was my friend, my partner, my wife and I will always love her.
